Prior to having a peel, it can be helpful to schedule a facial first to determine which peel is right for you and to understand what to do pre and post peel. However if it is not possible, here are my recommendations.
There is a specific consultation form required for each peel.
It is best to be in good health prior to a peel. Boosting up on your vitamins (especially Vitamin C), getting extra hydrated and being ready to just help your skin heal itself. Using a cleanser with retinol, lactic or glycolic in it is recommend the week prior. 48 hours prior to your peel stop all topical retinols, oils, heavy creams, topical medications and anything that is designed to change or alter the skins surface.
$15-$40 Post Peel Care Kits
One of the most important things to do after a peel is to follow instructions. Using a specific set of travel sized products for the upcoming days is very helpful and necessary to avoid any damage or potential issues. Depending on the peel you chose and your skins condition, the price of the kit will vary.
